About the project
A flag quiz built for remembering, not just scoring.
Flag Quiz Game is an independent browser learning tool. The MVP is being tested locally before a domain, public operator details, or analytics are activated.
The product
The home page starts with a playable world flag quiz. Missed countries enter a review queue, the daily page gives everyone the same ten flags for a UTC date, and the learning page turns progress into flashcards.
The 195-country study set
The default set contains 193 United Nations member states plus the Holy See and the State of Palestine, the two UN non-member observer states. Taiwan and Kosovo are not part of the default scored MVP set.
This is a study-set decision, not a claim that one country count resolves every geographic or political context. Regional grouping follows a fixed editorial mapping based on UN M49 and is not changed per visitor.
Names and flags
English country names are based on Unicode CLDR 48.2.0 with reviewed aliases for common answers such as USA, UK, Turkey, and Ivory Coast. Flag SVG files come from flag-icons 7.5.0 and are stored with the site rather than loaded from an external image host.
Current project status
This build is an MVP preview. No account system, advertising, leaderboard, cloud sync, or commercial analytics is active. Operator and support contact details will be completed before public launch.
